About us
LH2 Shipping is a well-established maritime-consultancy firm with a special focus on the use of liquid hydrogen in the maritime sector. For years, we have been proving value-adding services to leading actors within the field, like Norled, Switch Maritime and Samskip, on projects that create demand for LH2.
Over the last years we have been maturing projects that will contribute to, and fill the gaps, to realise maritime LH₂ value chains.
We are now rigging the organisation to materialise these projects on our own books, thus expanding the consulting business to ownership and operation of LH2 bunkering infrastructure and LH2-powered ships.
As we are now in the final stages of getting public funding for some of these projects, we seek a partner that can supplement our capacity, financially and with the right competence to support our plans.

Business Model
Advancing from M/F Hydra, world's first liquid hydrogen (owered ship (Norled, 2023), to coastal and shortsea ships.
Key personnel in LH2 Shipping AS were leading the development of the ferry M/F Hydra, including the LH₂ bunkering system.
LH2 Shipping aims to utilise LH₂ technology on a wide range of vessels globally by ensuring safe, cost-effective design and operations of LH₂-fuelled ships through our proven services:
We assist ship owners in developing hydrogen fuelled vessels, with a main focus on LH2.
We work closely with ship designers and equipment suppliers to develop efficient and safe operations for given route profiles.
We are developing bunkering solutions, in cooperation with ports and as part of the ship projects, to provide effective and short bunkering times.
We manage the required risk assessment process (HAZID, risk register, risk analysis, simulations) for hydrogen fuelled vessels, the IMO alternative design process, where risks are integrated in the ship design in an iterative manner.
We work closely with LH2 supply chain companies to provide hydrogen fuel.
